The owner of the dance studio where an instructor, who was arrested for alleged sexual offenses, worked has issued a statement on the incident.
The owner’s statement says that Chase Clark Pleko,19, was a dance student affiliated with “Adrenaline Dance Studio” for 6 years before starting as a part-time assistant instructor after graduating from high school in 2016.
Pleko was served with warrants by officers for carnal knowledge of a child between thirteen and fifteen years of age and five counts of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography, according to police.
The owner says the allegations against Pleko are “a complete shock” and that their “hearts are breaking for the young women involved and their families.”
Pleko was “inappropriately communicating with a 13-year-old and two 14-year-old girls” between Dec. 2015 and Nov. 2016. Police say it is alleged that Pleko had a sexual relationship with one of the girls, who was a dance student but not of Pleko’s, while she was 14.
The owner says they do not think any of these activities took place at the dance studio as they say the building has security cameras, Pleko was never in a position to be alone with one student and that parents and other instructors were constantly around.
The owner says that a student told them of a text message sent to the student by Pleko and the owner and the student’s mother then went to Fairfax County Police with the matter.
Fairfax County Police believe there may be other victims and want to hear from anyone who may have had contact with Pleko.
